We are seeking a product development associate who wants to make an impact on the future of a successful, growing property & casualty insurance company.
What You’ll Do:
- Facilitate specifications for programming commercial lines by working with assigned business analyst.
- Support commercial lines research for ISO rates, rules and forms for assigned lines of business and/or states.
- Works with product and underwriting management, supporting governance of existing rates, rules and forms as well as future enhancements and managing filing preparation.
- Assist with research into state specific regulations and cancellation laws to inform strategic adjustments, including form, rate and rule reviews, new product development and modifications in underwriting appetite with direction and support from product management.
- Support user acceptance testing as necessary.
- Collaborate with departments including Underwriting, Claims, Marketing, Agency Management and Sales, and Information Technology teams to ensure successful implementation of rates, rules and forms for assigned lines of business and/or states.
- Works with product and underwriting management, supporting governance of existing rates, rules and forms as well as future enhancements and managing filing preparation.
- Supports research and analysis relative to the development of new products and enhancements to existing products, working in partnership with underwriting and claims, including competitor reviews.
- Works with product and underwriting management to assess the competitive landscape in order to identify underwriting, pricing, coverage and product penetration opportunities to recommend for enhancement of our profitability.
- Assist with the development of new and/or existing insurance products. This includes market research, product development, implementation, and monitoring of those products throughout the lifecycle.
- Respond to internal users’ support requests, trouble shoot issues, and report to product management or IT. Coordinate with IT on product requirements and support business analyst with re-work items and utilize product management as necessary.
- Provides exceptional customer service to agents, company personnel, State Filing analysts and other stakeholders as identified.
What We Are Looking For:
- College degree or equivalent experience
- Property & Casualty Insurance industry experience
- Three years or more of underwriting, product development, product management experience, preferred.
- Proficient interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
- Efficient written and verbal communication skills
